City’s services heading to Scottsdene, Langa and Lotus River

07 April 2025

This week, the City of Cape Town’s Mobile Office will be taking municipal services to the communities of Scottsdene, Langa and Lotus River. A wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewerage, electricity, water, refuse collections and all other account enquiries will be provided. The Basket of Services offering, with various departments, will also be available at the Scottsdene visit. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

The details of the visit are as follows:

• Thursday, 10 April 2025, from 09:00 to 15:00 at the Scottsdene Youth Centre, Eoan Avenue, Scottsdene
• Thursday, 10 April 2025, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Langa Civic Hall, Cnr. of Church & Washington Streets, Langa
• Friday, 11 April 2025, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Lotus River Civic Centre, Buck Road, Lotus River

‘Taking the City’s services to the communities of Scottsdene, Langa and Lotus River is the City’s way of showing that we are committed to bringing services to residents and making local government more accessible to all. I urge residents to make the most of these visits to resolve any municipal matters they might have. Bringing along an ID or municipal accounts will help ease the process for those who intend to come,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.

The departments that will be present at the Scottsdene Youth Centre are:

• Human Resources for enquiries about bursaries, internships, and apprenticeships

• Community, Arts and Culture Development to find out how you can get involved

• Business Hub and Jobs Connect

• Customer Relations

• Health to find out more about primary health care services

• Safety and Security for information about traffic and law enforcement services

• EPWP and jobseekers to give unemployed youth an opportunity to register on the jobseekers’ database to make them eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities.

Residents can also engage with the City in a wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries.
